Mind's Eye Nasya Oil
Nasya Oil is part of the Ayurvedic Dinacharya or daily routine. It is said that a person who does Nasya every day carries a glow about them. Nasya is a medicated oil that is inhaled through the nose, about 3 drops per nostril a day.
Nasya oil is beneficial for clearing cobwebs from the brain and sharpening memory and cognition. If used daily it truly benefits those who suffer from allergies. It helps drop the upper channels of the body like tight jaw and shoulders. Nasya is also said to clear the pituitary increasing the experience of joy in our lives. It is not recommended to do Nasya oil if congested.
TO USE: After clearing the mucus from your nose after waking up, tilt your head back and drop 3-5 drops in each nostril, inhaling it up the nose between each side. There will be some post-nasal drip for about 10 minutes after applying the oil. Be sure to spit this out as the oil is breaking up the excess mucus that is clogging the head. Laying a warm washcloth over the nose for about 30 seconds can also help the channels in the nose open up and allow for better absorption of the oil.
